Description
When we look closely at insects and invertebrates they are not just one color but a range of mixed colors across their body. So why do we often use single color dubbing to imitate nature? That was the big question the Semperfli Pro Team was asking. As a result they developed Dirty Bug Yarn fly tying range. They call it Dirty Bug Yarn because it has the multiple colors found on insects and invertebrates, whether you are tying shrimps, baetis nymphs, caddis nymphs it does not matter. They decided to blend multiple color materials into Dirty Bug Yarn creating a 2 ply yarn so that you can tie larger nymphs or split the 2 ply yarn for smaller flies.
* Without doubt dubbing is one of the more difficult skills for fly tyers to learn. Because of this Semperfli developed its range of ‘dubbing on a rope’ products, ready made yarns which can simply be tied and wound onto a hook. Developed twin strands Dirty Bug Yarn can be used straight off the spool for larger flies or split into single strands for smaller flies. There are a range of colors that are stunning for both new fly tyers and skilled fly tyers alike.
* 5 yard spools.
