How We Got Started

I began fly fishing at the age of 11 on PA’s Kettle Creek. That’s where I fell in love with the sport. Since then fly fishing has taken me from the famous waters of the Rockies to the technical tail waters of the south. After spending a few years in Montana chasing trophy trout, I came back to southwest PA to finish school where I was introduced to euro style nymphing. After volunteering at the 2013 Northeast Regional, I decided to give competition fly fishing a try, instantly I was addicted. When not tying or at school/work you can find me on one of Central PA’s trout steams.

In August 2013 I decided to bring the finest in fly-tying materials that I was exposed to in competition fly fishing and blend them with what we already had. A year later it has grown into a family run fly shop! Our motto has always been to “Take every advantage of the “new school” techniques and blend with the “old school”. To give you, the angler the competitive edge.”
