The tips of the feathers on these capes are rounded and webby making them the perfect choice for hackle point wings. In addition, they can be used for both wings and collars on wet flies. I bought the cape because of smaller sizes advertised. I have been able to find many if the desired smaller hackles on my capes 16-18 with several in the 20 range. I can’t go smaller without heavy lighting and magnification. The coloring is consistent and the hackles soft. Several colors are available, some that you need to go on wishlist for. Value is good, whether starting or trying to add more to your inventory of wet or soft hackles as you get a full cape, plenty of usable feathers and can get close to original fly patterns when original birds are protected or gone.
