This bobbin is a larger variation of the Stonfo bobtec bobbins, has a wider tube which makes it perfect for heavier, larger diameter, voluminous threads – great choice when tying streamers and saltwater flies. It is suitable for all spool sizes and designed so switching spools is easy and quick. It has been perfectly balanced so it rotates smoothly when unrolling the tying thread, making it an ideal tool for tying split-thread dubbing loops. The tube has a special hardened steel bush, perfectly designed to allow smooth thread sliding without breaking or fraying. The anatomic shape of this tool provides comfortable fit and handling.
The smaller, standard size of this bobbin – Stonfo Bobtec 1 is great for general tying needs, suitable for most of the threads on the market.
